What Is The Meaning Of Developmental Venous Anomaly In Frontal Lobe In The MRI Report?
I was wondering if a mri comes back saying incident of developmental venous anomaly in frontal lobe. The basal cistern are open . the arterial flows voids at base of skull are visualized consistent with gross patency the visualized paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are greatly aerated. Can someone please tell me what this is in english
The brain gets its inflow blood supply from arteries. These arteries then branch out in to capillaries and supply blood to the entire brain. The oxygen in blood is replaced by carbondioxide when the blood flows through these capillaries. Then the capillaries join to form veins which are an outflow channel of blood. You seem to be having an abnormal development of vein s in the frontal portion of your brain. This can give rise to many neurological symptoms like headache and seizures. Treatment depends on the location and size of the problem area and even non surgical interventional radiology treatment can help.
