What Is The Normal Pus Cell Count In Semen Analysis?

Hi,

My name is Farhaan from New Delhi India... I'm married from last two years and two months I planned a baby... But my wife is not able to concive so doctor advised me to get a seman analysis done..



Seman analysis report is perfect but the only glitch is the presence of the Puss cells (10-12) in my seman...



I want to know what is the normal puss cell count and what are the methods to reduce it.

Hello

Your report suggests semen infection.
Semen infection may be due to UTI or prostatitis.

Infection is indicated by presence of excessive pus cells in semen.There shouldn't be any pus cells in semen.
You need proper clinical examination and further investigations.
You need routine hemogram,RBS,culture and sensitivity of semen,colour doppler of scrotum.
Proper antibiotics depend upon culture and sensitivity report.
Fertility should improve with control of infection.
