What is the normal recovery period for someone who has a lap ovarian cystectomy or a lap salpingo ooph and how long would you need before you start chemo or radiation after the operation? What can I do to speed up the recovery times form the operation?

The recovery time after lap ovarian cystectomy is about 6 weeks without any complications. The chemo or radiation must be started depending on the biopsy reports and that is different for different tumors. To speed up recovery times please give yourself sufficient rest and do not involve in intense physical activity for 6 weeks.
