What Is The Prescribed Dosage Of Duphaston?

Hi, i m 9 wk pregnant and had 2 missed abortions earlier. At present since yesterday i m having progesterone(lupigest200) thrice daily vaginally, Duphanston 2 tabs thrice daily & inj. HUCOG5000 twice wkly. I just want to ask is my dosage of Duphanston60mg a day OK for me ? my body weight is 50kg & age 27

Hi, I have gone through your question. Duphastone is progesterone which supports the pregnancy by making uterine environment more favourable for foetus. It is given in threatened abortion and in cases of recurrent abortions, as in your case. It is given in a dose of 10 mg twice a day, making it 20 mg a day.
A dose of 60 mg a day of duphastone is very high for your weight and height, and is not recommended.
I would suggest you to consult with your doctor the reason for giving you this high dose of progesterone and take appropriate doses further.
