What Is The Reason For Pain In Left Breast Radiating To The Armpit And The Arm During 37 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I m 37weeka pregnanat and for the last couple of weeks I have been suffering with and achy left breast and aches into my left armpit moving down into my left arm (the ache is more apparent in my armpit and arm then breast) there is no lump that I can identify I was wondering if this is due to being pregnanat?
Hi So you are 37 weeks pregnant....not long to go. In pregnancy generally there is quite a bit of water retention in the body. Breasts get bigger and engorged to prepare to feed your baby. All this can lead to achy breast and armpit. Sometimes you can find a lump in your armpit known as axillary breast tissue which can cause discomfort. As you are 37 weeks pregnant now I won't suggest any radical treatments. This is most probably due to pregnancy and will resolve when you have your baby. If it doesn't it would be a good idea to see a doctor in person. In the meanwhile wear loose clothing and avoid wear brassiere during the night. Also make sure you are wearing the right size brassiere. Let me know if you have any more queries. Thanks
