What Is The Recovery Time Required For Acne? Will My Skin Improve If I Stop Smoking Weed?

I am a 33 year old female. I used to be very beautiful, but over the last couple of years I have developed nasty, cisty acne which makes me feel really sad every time I look in the mirror. I had some problems with acne in my early 20s but it went away.

I have smoked weed since the age of 14, but over the last 2 years my use has become heavier - I smoke every evening (although I 'function' very well - work, sports etc...). Generally 4-5 grams per week

I decided to stop smoking 2 days ago. I expected my skin to instantly improve, but if anything it seems to be getting worse. How long do I have to wait before the acne goes away?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
The acne is hormone related problem and hormone regulation depends upon the mental condition, if you are under the stress then the disturbances in hormone level would be noticeable, I guess that you seems having anxiety and depression so you are smoking, this is double jeopardy, unless you quit the smoking ths chances of cure of your acne is very less,, have nice day (you tested it, "the weed", enjoyed it, now time to quit it )
