Took an I pill on December 2013. I did have my periods in December after 2 weeks but since then I have missed my periods in January and there is no sign of it till now. It was my 3rd ipill last year. Pregency test came out to be negative. What should I do?
If pregnancy test is negative, then progesterone pill like Norethisterone can be taken for 3 to 5 days to induce period. You will get your period within 7 days.
Kindly, consult with doctor for complete prescription. Good luck.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Repeated intake of emergency contraceptive pills can lead to menstrual irregularity. There should be at least two months gap between two emergency contraceptive pills. As you had withdrawal bleeding after taking emergency pill in December, the possibility of pregnancy is less due to that act. If you had unprotected intercourse after that, you should rule out the pregnancy. Sometimes urine pregnancy test kit may not detect early pregnancy. So, once consult gynecologist and get examined. Then if she suggests go for ultrasound. This will help in ruling out pregnancy and in finding the possible cause for your problem. Then you can go for tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding with her advice. Take care.
