What Is The Remedy For Fever After A Head Injury?

Hi,

My son, 16month-old, felt off the bed yesterday. he cry less than 5 mins and no bruised on the head. however, i is running fever since this morning, the temperature around 38plus. I have giving him paracetamol. Do I need to bring him and see his pediatrician?

Hi,
His temperature is unlikely to be related to his fall. It is most probably a common upper respiratory tract infection which will last a few days. These are usually viral. His temperature will be improved by the paracetamol so continue this treatment. Encourage him to drink plenty of fluids.
You do not need to take him to the doctor.
