Hi there! I was just trying to pick a birth control pill to prevent pregnancy and have as little side effects as possible. I am 32 and a non smoker. I haven t been on birth control for years, but my boyfriend and I have decided that I should get on birth control as we are not ready to have a baby any time soon. Thank you!
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. There is nothing like right birth control pills. All contraceptive pills have some or the other side effects as they are hormonal preparations. However, most of these side effects are experienced only during the first few months of starting the birth control pills. There are two types of pills available: 1. Combined pill which contains a combination of estrogen and progestin hormones. 2. Mini pill which consists of only progestin hormone. Kindly consult Gynecologist for proper advise and take the pill which would suit you. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
