hi, I am a 27 year old male and my wife is 27 years old as well. She is morbidly obese (115 kg) and is currently on thyroxin. We are currently on a weight loss program to deal with that problem. What is the most safe and effective contraceptive method we should adopt before she sheds her excess weight?

I had gone through the case and I will advise to use external contraceptive instead of oral contraceptive because it also increases the weight due to hormonal changes.
