What Is The Swelling In My Foot And Ankle When On Insulin For Diabetes?
I've recently been going through getting my diabetes under control with insulin. I just started getting swelling in my left foot and ankle. I don't know if it's a reaction or not. I went to the Dr. today. She was concerned and wants me to have it exrayed but I couldn't get an appointment till next week on Thursday. In the meantime I'm concerned about it.

I really appreciate your concern, if the history of diabetes is there then such symptoms is very likely and this could happens because of disturbances in venous return (Blood) hemodynamic disturbances, this may come around with the conservative treatment alone just keep the leg in elevated position, avoid standing position, this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps you take care and have nice day.
