Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My blood pressure has recently elevated from my historical (I'm 60) reading of 117/70 to 121/90. I am having hot flashes with sweats (several a day, including right after I wake up), and pretty much constant dizziness. This has been going on for a week. Should I give more time before getting checked out?
HI welcome to HCM. Elevation of blood pressure to 121/90 in not considered a high blood pressure.it is in the normal range. The normal range of blood pressure is 110-140/60-90 mm of Hg.The hot flushes and sweats can be due to hormonal imbalances and blood sugar fluctuations.Get your blood sugar tested.Regular physical work outs can control all your symptoms.Drug management is rarely needed.Consult your doctor for further queries. Thank you
