I have an appointment to see a gynaecologist because I have a large intra-mural fibroid which was discovered when I had a scan recently. I had presented to my GP with post-menopausal bleeding. My question is - what procedure can I expect when I visit the gynaecologist?
The procedure depends on the size of the fibroid and the other symptoms associated with it. Bleeding may be because of the fibroid. I believe you have to undergo a total abdominal hysterectomy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
