What Is The Treatment For Irregular Periods And PCOS?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I have been taking Metformin for insulin resistance, have lost 30 pounds, and was also taking Clomid on days 5-9 of my last cycle. I have always have irregular periods, so I am never sure when the next one will start. However, on Thursday I took a HPT and it was negative. Today (Saturday) I had a small amount of brown discharge. What would be your suggestions or thoughts on what is happening? Thanks!
