What Is The Treatment For Leg Pain In A Child?

My 8 year old daughter has been complaining that her leg hurts...not the muscle but the actual bone. She is also severly pale has night sweats with no fever. She has had a battery of blood tests and her seds rate was 45. She is having a bone scan done as well. Is this more likely cancer or arthritis? She has not gained any weight in 11 months and is only 60lbs. Any thoughts?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello dear!.
I canuderstand your concern.
A detailed history and complete physical examination of the child would help me more in diagnosing the condition.
Its probably JIA but it could be infective.
I would advise you to have her ANA,RA factor checked from the labs and a detailed physical examination by a pediatrician.
Weight loss is considered as a sign of cancer, and in your case there is no weight loss, its been static.
Hope it will help.
Wishing your child good health :-)
