Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM
Seizures because of fever is quite common. Immediate treatment is vigorous tepid water sponging. usually it prevents and also stops the seizures.
Cause of the fever should be investigated and any brain infection to be ruled out.
Usually these febrile seizures do subside with due course of time (at around 6 to 8 years).
Some antipyretics like paracetamol to be given with even mild fever and sponging with water should be started to prevent the further seizures
Hope the query is answered.
Thanks
