What Is The Treatment For Shaking Caused Due To Ventolin?
Hello, I have an 89 year old mother who fell, broke her hip and had a partial hip replacement 6 weeks ago. While in rehab she picked up RSV. She has been home almost 2 weeks. Her cough seemed to be getting worse. Took her to emerg on Sunday to see if it was pneumonia. After the xray, the doctor told us she has a partially collapsed lung; gave her ventolin through a mask. She started shaking...we were told that that was a side effect of the ventolin. They sent her home with a prescription for ventolin (puffer) and a steroid. Her shaking is very bad...she can t even hold a glass of water. It is now Tuesday...she is still shaking. We have not given her any more ventilon since the dose she was given in the hospital.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. It may be due to the ventilon, steroid,or defeciency of circulating oxygen in the blood or it may be the age related. I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically, calcium supplements. Give her more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to have good health and resistance against infections. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
