Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 33 yr old woman with inappropriate sinus tachycardia. I have had it for 9 yrs now and I have been on Atenelol for that time period. I am over weight and I am wondering if that has any thing to do with my condition. I have asked my cardiologist and he says it has nothing to do with it. But, is there anything I can be doing diet wise to help??

Hai.sinus tachycardia can be due to mamy specific&non specific reasons like thyroid problems, any pain, fever, infections, anxiety, stress, and many other reasons Atenol is cardioselective drug more spefific for ur problem. Although obesity can lead to many problems it is really wise &good decision to reduce the weight, U can also check ur thyroid levels. Have a cardiac evaluation once in 6 months.take care.good luck.
