I understand your concern, usually
mononucleosis caused by EBV may consists of several symptoms like
body pain, fatigue, fever,
sore throat, nausea, headache, swollen, salivary glands,
swollen lymph nodes, sore and enlarged tonsils. It passes through saliva even after a few days of symptoms subsiding.
Of which some may present with all symptoms, some may present with few symptoms.
It is advisable to have
bed rest, restrict activity, complete the dose of painkillers advised, and plenty of fluids is very important. Avoid irritation to the throat.
Self care is important. It may persist for weeks even if symptoms subside(2 weeks- 8weeks) depending on treatment and progress.
