What Is The Uncomfortable, Full Feeling Just Below The Sternum?
I have a history of GERD well-contolled with OTC Prevacid dosage. For the last few weeks I ve had an uncomfortable, full feeling just below my sternum in an area the size of a baseball. There is no pain and I can t feel anything in that area by pressing down. When I eat, there is no pain , but I feel miserably full in that area. When I walk around I am uncomfortable in that area. It never goes away. It is not gas. I had a similar discomfort a few years back following a very violent GI virus. I saw my GI specialist who said it was most likely gastroparesis following the virus. He treated with Reglan and it resolved. I have had no precipitating event this time. Would this be the same?
hai, GERD is a chronic ( long standing ) process, you have not mentioned if previously endoscopy has been done or not, depending on the stage and severity of the disease, it could be because of that. I would suggest regular intravels of food, non spicy more salads would help, reduction of excessive coffee would help. thank you.
