What Is Your Advise For The Stool Test Showing Milt Occult Blood For Which Neither Of The Medicines Are Working?

I am suffering from gastric for last 12 years. Small duodenal u ulcer was detected in the year 2001.Doctor had prescripts Pylo-Kit on that time. The problem was totally disappeared when I using the drug. After a few days the problem was again comeback. Then again endoscopy and colonoscopy was done in the year 2006 but all was normal. But the Problem was still there. Endoscopy ,liver function test and stool test has done again in the year 2013. Report s are normal except stool test. Stool test shows milt occult blood (Negative). I have been using several medicines as per doctor advice. But there is no relief. Now Doctor has advised to do a colonoscopy again. What should I do?

Hi
worthwhile getting stool occult blood twice more from reliable lab. If recently done a colonoscopy then repeating it may not help much. If repeat occult blood is still positive then may need to consider other tests like capsule endoscopy especially if your haemoglobin is low.
But otherwise as per history look like there is nothing to worry.
Possibly you are suffering from dyspepsia.
