What Kind Of Birth Control Should I Use After A Condom Rip?
i had sex with my boyfriend last night and after, we noticed that the condom had ripped. we aren't sure when it ripped but just in case i used my birth control lo loestrin fe as an emergency contraceptive. my question for you is how should i go about re-regulating my birth control. because today is Sunday and by the end of the night, i will have taken my birth control pills all the way until Wednesday. how should i go about taking my pills from here on out?
Do continue to take lo Loestrin in the correct order & do not miss any doses. D not skip any doses. Since the condom ripped you can take emergency contraceptive pill containing progestin within 72 hours of intercourse. You can also take non-hormonal emergency contraceptive pill (Ella) that blocks the hormones that may cause conception within 120 hours after unprotected sex. Birth control pills do not protect you from STI.
Take care.
