What Medicine Should I Take For High Fever With Headache ?

after suffering from fever for 5 6 days i went to the doctor and he recommended for typhoid and malaria tests .both were normal . during fever i had shivering and continuous headache . doctor gave me some tablets 1 calpol 2 mahacef for 7 days, i finished them today only. still fever comes in the same fashion.but intensity is of fever is less then before.. please suggest what should i do after suffering from fever for 5-6 days i went to the doctor and he recommended for typhoid and malaria tests .both were normal . during fever i had shivering and continuous headache. doctor gave me some tablets-1-calpol 2-mahacef for 7 days, i finished them today only. still fever comes in the same fashion.but intensity is of fever is less then before.. please suggest what should i do

How are you doing. Did you have jaundice during this period. Any burning sensation while passing urine. You may get your Liver function tests and Urine tests if needed. That may also explain the cause of shivering.

hi read your prob usually typhod is not detected before 7 days, this kind offever which u metioned mostly come in UTI or hepatic absces may be this is malaria plz mention any abdominal complain, urinary complain if you have and CBC report

Hi,thanks for query.The treatment given to you fine.Presence of fever needs some more investigation.Please go for repeat blood counts,urine examination.If needed ultrasound also needs to be done.Keep a fever chart,so that the response to treatment can be judged.Continue the antibiotic as advised.Take light diet,drink plenty of liquids.After report further advice can be given.bye.
