What Should I Do For The Pain On The Right Side Between The Stomach And The Hip Area?
Hi I am a 61 year old female. I have been having a pain on my right side between my stomach and hip area. My RA say " it's a hip problem, you need to tell you Primary Physician" . My PP orders an X-Ray, certain it is arthritis, but the X-Ray came back ok. I'm really concern, maybe a little scared about this pain. It only hurt when I stand from a sitting of lying position. But, the pain is bad. What should I do about it now?
I have studied your case. As per your history there can be hip arthritis which can be degenerative or due to avascular necrosis of femoral head [AVN].
After clinical examination IF AVN is suspected then you will need MRI. Till time take analgesic and cartilage protecting medication like glucosamine sulphate.
Physiotherapist will help you better to learn more exercises in proper protocol.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
