i am going to water theme park .i dont want my skin to get dark due to the chlorine water .what should i do before getting into the water .plz help.....
1.Swim either early in the morning or late in the evening.
◦The sun causes the most damage to your skin between the hours of 10am and 4pm
2.Wear sunscreen on your entire body.
3.Apply a waterproof sunscreen 20-30 minutes before sun exposure.
4.Even if the label of the product says it is waterproof, the effectiveness of the sunscreen only lasts up to 80 minutes when in contact with water.
Reapply waterproof sunscreens every 80 minutes or so, after being in the water.
The Food and Drug Administration considers a sunscreen water-resistant if it maintains its SPF level after 40 minutes of water exposure. A product is considered waterproof if it maintains its SPF level following 80 minutes of exposure to water.
5.Protect your scalp.
◦Wear a swim cap to protect your scalp from the sun.
