What Should Be Done For The Coughing After Taking A Large Pill?
*I swallowed a large pill this morning which appeared nit to have gone down properly. I tried coughing to free it but icouldn t regurgitate it. I did my normal 40 minutes on my staionary bike and then a coughing jag started and i coughed up some whitish flem like the pill but I have been weasing most of the day although it appears to be lessening. Should I do anything to help?
If the pill was in ur trachea (wind pipe) and not the food pipe prior to being coughed out, there is not much you can do now. The symptoms will subside as the remnants of the pill are cleared by the air passages or lungs. Next time ur taking a large pill, breaking it into two or more smaller pieces and swallowing with water after placing at the back of the tongue might help. However, if the wheezing continues with breathlessness, it would be prudet to go to a hospital. The two might very well be disconnected events. Tc.
