What Should Be Done If The 10 Week Fetus Doesn't Show Cardiac Activity ?
hi doctor, my wife is 10 week pregnant , we did sonography test as per doctors instructions. sonography test said that fetal cardiac activity is ABSENT on B-mode & color flow image ............. & said to do abortion .... kindly explain what we have to do?? my wife is now 28 yrs old & we need baby.

Sometimes though ovum gets fertilised, it does can not devolop in a baby (Blighted ovum),Orthe devolopment stops suddenly due to foetal death .,Due to unfavorable conditions.
As there is no chance of growth, it's better to remove it. your dr. has adviced correctly.
After the abortion, you shold get investigated to find the cause,so as to prevent it in next pregnancy.
