hai sir i have chest pain in left upper zone ...... i have taken chest x ray for chest ...that radiologist given a report is small inhomogeneousopacity in left lower zone likely representing pneumonic infiltrate like that ///////// like that any thing to be worry sir?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Your chest pain is mostly due to pneumonia. Pneumonia causes pleurisy (inflammation of pleura). And this causes pleuritic pain. Upper lobe pneumonia can be due to either tuberculosis or bacterial infection. So better to get done sputum examination for AFB (acid fast bacilli) to rule out tuberculosis. Also get done sputum culture to isolate the causative organism for pneumonia.
