What To Do For Kid Suffering From High Fever That Reduces With Paracetamol And Ibuprofen And Returns Back?
One year old girl having high fever for last 48 hours. Fever goes away for few hours after giving her paracetamol+ibuprofen suspension and then returns back. This suspension is being given for past 36 hours. Also, she is not willing to have her meal and crying too much. What to do next?
Dear Friend. Fever can be viral or bacterial. if it is just viral fever , it requires symptomatic therapy. But if it is bacterial , antibiotics might be required. I would suggest you to seek a medical advice nearby , so that a clinical examination and if required investigations would give the diagnosis and guide to appropriate treatment. Till them you should do cold sponging for symptomatic relief. I wish your child a speedy recovery.
