hi
pain in tongue and ear after tooth extraction can be due to various reasons. maybe while extraction, there was some damage to the underlying nerve or while injecting local anesthesia, needle pricked the nerve. if such is the case, it will subside within few days. or there can be muscle tear or portion of tooth which may be accidentally left is causing the pain now. then you have to get it removed. or excessive force used while extraction can also lead to momentarily episode of pain for few days. or it can altogether be a new symptom irrespective of the extraction from some other problem. but nothing to worry about. take dololed-mr or aceclo-mr thrice a day. also do warm saline rinses 4-5 times a day. irrigate the extraction site with betadine. if pain dont subside, then go for a oral check for complete details.
wishing you speedy recovery
with best regards

Hi, i can understand your situation. The tongue pain after extraction of the tooth may be due to the anesthesia given very close to the tongue or may be due to improper elevtion of the tooth while extraction. Since the surrounding muscles and nerves are affected and become sore during and after extraction, the pain is radiating to the tongue and ear. Please take a muscle relaxant pain killer like Tab Dolokind MR, Betadine gargles and hot fermentation on the cheek on the affected side. Please do this for 3 days. You must consult an oral surgeon if it doesn't subside in 3-5 days. All the best !
Hi, welcome to H.C.M.Forum. you got your tooth pulled 6 days before, probably you didn't use any antibiotic or some piece of tooth remained unremoved. now it got infected and causing pain. you need to use antibiotics, antipyretics, and protiolytics.under the supervision of a doctor. when pain subsides xray is to be taken and if some thing present should be removed.thank you.
