What Type Of Moisturizer Is Best Suited To Acne Prone Skin?

Hello Doctor,

Greetings!!

I have an acne prone skin and undergoing treatment for the same. My treatment regime includes oral isotretinoin, Supatret C over night and cetaphil for face wash but I assume due to the use of retinoid my skin peels a lot and its very dry. I hardly could eat or laugh, could you please suggest me any good moisturizer which is suitable for my skin type.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
You could use moisturisers in a lotion or gel formulation. Avoid cream based moisturisers. Avoid moisturisers with ingredients like isopropyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate and lanolin as these are comedogenic.
If you have such extreme dryness, you could use supatret c as short contact only for 2 hours in the evening and wash it off instead of leaving overnight.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
