Whats The Cause For Cyst In Ovary With Bloody Stools?

I was told that I have a cyst on the right ovary. I was given birth controll pills to shrink them. However, I have not seen the OBGYN since that occured. I am now having abdominal pain on my lower right side and into my back. There is also bright red blood in my stool. Could this be a ruptured cyst??? Shoul I go to the ER? The pain is severe at times but with some Tylenol arthritis it dulls the pain. I have had this pain on and off for a few months. I guess the blood in the stool is making me question the severity.

You mentioned that you are having cyst in the right ovary (known as pcod case).The best treatment is birth pills because of hormones . Now you mentioned that there is sever pain on the right side and also in the back with blood in stool. Let me explain that blood in stool means blood from intestine , if bright in color then it must be from large intestine or colon or rectum. While if cyst present in the ovary or it rupture it causes pain in the abdomen but blood will not come out with stool .
Now pain in the right side , may be due to .
1 Right ovarian cyst , so consult a gynecologist and get his opinion regarding rupture of cyst .
2 The next reason of such pain may be calculus in right kidney ( urinary system) .Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of abdomen.
3 Appendicitis may be the next reason of such pain ( severe pain ) . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon.
4 Blood in stool may be due to hemorrhoids or fistula in anus or ulcer in colon . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination as well ultrasound of abdomen.
In my opinion the best option is to consult surgeon and get his opinion because physical examination as well clinical history is important.
