When Can I Expect My OS To Open Before Labor Pain ?

Hi, I am now 39 weeks 3 days. In todays check up doctor told that OS is opened 20 % and liquir level is 10.6. Kindly let me know opening of OS starts how many days before actula labour, If its 20% opened now, so more how many days will i take to go in to the actual labour. also is that liquid level ok at this moment, what care i should take now, please assist me.

Hi... Welcome to hcm

First let me clarify about your liquor. Normal values are between 5 and 25. So you have absolutely normal liquor.

About cervix os dilatation,probably you are due for labour any day. Os slowly opens up and when labour pain starts,then os dilates fully,you will deliver. We can never predict when you will go in labour but seems your date is near.

About care now,you should not lift any heavy objects,use too much stairs as it can rupture membranes and sleep healthy. Nothing to worry about.
