Hello. How long after having a Myringoplasty should I wait before smoking? Will smoking cause any pain, or just increase the chance of infection? I have not smoked for three days and I am looking to go and have a cigarette. Many thanks for any advice offered.
hello, thanks for your query, smoking can cause negative pressure in eusthacian tube ( tube connects middle ear and nose)which may distrusts new graft( new tympanic membrane) . smoking can itself causes delayed healing. it's better to stop smoking. all d best. take care.
