When Is It Safe To Remove Cerclage During Pregnancy?

Hi I am 35weeks pregnant with a cerclage when will the doctor remove it? I am concerned that if i go into labor with the cerclage still in place it will be very very painful. My cervix was checked about 2weeks ago and my cervix has thinned out to 1.6 should i not be worried?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the cerclage is removed at 37 completed weeks if there is no pain.But if any signs of labour appear then it might be removed.Dont worry.Your doctor will take good decision after examining you.If any pain develops then consult your doctor.
