As omega 3 is a fatty acid it is recommended that it be taken with meals as it reduces the symptoms of bloating and indigestion. This is especially useful for those with cardiac illness who are on a higher dose of omega 3 supplements. The prescribed dosage can be taken in 2 or 3 divided doses.
