Which Medication Will Help Cure Gastritis?

Dear Doctor, For about 3 weeks now I am suffering from excessive farting(smelly) and bloating during the evening times starting about 7-8. Please suggest a remedy since it becomes embarassing with stomach making all noises and it makes difficult to schedule to go at someone s home during evening.

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

You are suffering from intestinal infection along with destruction of "good bacteria" of the gut.

A 5 days' course of Metronidazole; 4 weeks' of a probiotic such as, Lactobacilli; 4 weeks' course of Pancreatic digestive enzymes; a single-tablet deworming course with Albendazole 400mg; and, 2-4 weeks' course of Proton Pump Inhibitor, such as, Pantoprazole will cure your symptoms.

Further, stop eating high-gas producing foods; take high-fiber diet.
