White Crust Around The Lips, Dry Mouth. Bleeding And Tearing Of The Skin After Cleaning. Why?
i have a off white crust around the my lips in the morning. this has been going on for almost 3 weels now. the crust also presents itsself as a coating inside my mouts that causes cronic dry mouth. the crust is thick can be removed after a lond period of soaking with a warm washcloth. even after that can cause bleeding and tearing of the skin around my lips. please any ideas??

After reading your symptoms i suspect your have developed fungal infection of yeast caused by candida albicans knows as oral candidiasis.
It is caused due to dry mouth conditions or xerostomia , long term use of certain antibiotics ,poor oral hygiene .
i suggest you to apply topical nystatin or ketokenazole oral ointment , maintain good oral hygiene by oral rinsing with lukewarm saline water.
use of cholrhexidine gluconate mouthwash is NOT RECOMMENDED here.
flucanazole tablets 150mg once daily will help in subsiding symptoms.
drink lot of water and keep yourself hydrated.

There are many causes for xerostomia like poor oral hygiene, infections in the gum , decayed teeth , diabetes ,parkinsons disease.

If you frequently lick your lips, this can introduce bacteria or fungus into the open skin patches. Allergies or irritation also can cause angular stomatitis. If your patchy areas of skin do not respond to over-the-counter treatments, a physician may take a cotton swab to test for the presence of bacteria or fungus, including Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus
topical antibiotic treatment to reduce the bacteria in the skin. Drinking plenty of water and using a humidifier in order to restore moisture to the skin also can help to reduce skin dryness.

poor oral hygiene and xerostomia,sometimes prolonged antibiotic usage too can cause this condition.
use of hexidine mouth wash is NOT recommended in this case.
you can take tab fluconazole 150 mg once daily.
you can take plenty of fluids ,juices etc
can use humidifier.,also you can apply ketoconazole ointment locally .
