White Puss On Tonsils, Swollen Tonsils, Sore Throat, Body Pain. Negative Strep Test. Remedy?
Daughter has white puss on tonsils, swollen tonsils, sore throat, no fever, and is dry heaving every few hours. Denies abdominal pain. Strep culture negative, been like this 3 days. Mild body aches. Urgent care did not give her antibiotics since strep culture negative and no fever. I am concerned she might get dehydrated due to dry heaves and decreased desire to drink fluids because of sore throat. Urgent care says it is just viral.
your daughter seems to be suffering from an acute episode of tonsillitis which is common in young age
Neverheless, consult your ENT so that proper medications can be initiated as if if was viral it should have got subsided in a day or two and this much pus is not a good sign.
meanwhile, take warm fluids and do salt water gargle
also if your daughter keeps on getting the tonsil infection then you must consider removing them at a later date
hope she gets well soon
