What kind do you take and how old are you ? I am 42 and was just diagnosed with high blood pressure today. I have been prescribed lisinopril 10 mg. I am just a little anxious, concerned, curious, worried. Thanks!

Hi VT Lisinopril is a good first choice for someone recently diagnosed with high blood pressure - it works well for most people and carries few side effects. It may be that your doctor will add in another medication too if your blood pressure stays a little high or it may be that he will change to another medication. You shouldn't be worried. High blood pressure is very common nowadays and the modern treatment options are excellent.
