Why Am I Experiencing Nausea And Cheekbone Pain After A Mole Removal?
I had a mole that a dermatologist looked at 5 months ago I said it was itchy. he looked at it and said it was fine. I went back to my other dermatologist that I use often and removed it right away (shaved it). He said he didn't THINK it was cancer but wanted to remove it anyway. My cheek bones hurt and I am nauseous (new). Can it be coincidence I have these symptoms one day later?111
I can understand your concern for experiencing nausea and cheekbone pain after a mole removal. As per your query you had mole on face and the symptoms are persisting after that.
Generally in any of these kind of incidences do not occur after removal of mole. Most commonly these are the symptoms of anxiety which you might be feeling.
Very commonly person who continuously think about cancers and all get this type feeling which is known as anxiety neurosis. Calm down yourself and ask your dermatologist to tell you about the pathological status of the mole according to biopsy so you should relieve your anxiety. Fix an appointment with a dermatologist to see that if the wound is not deep enough to cause scarring. Hope these information will help.
I read your query and understood your concern. Both maybe unrelated, but you may have an underlying infection in the area of mole post removal if your mole was on the cheek. Just take a course of oral antibiotics like cephalexin / azithromycin, oral anti inflammatory like ibuprofen, and domperidone to keep off nausea.
If your mole was in some other place it could be totally unrelated and you should take just the symptomatic medicines.
Hope I helped
