Hello,
I have seen a number of patients in my headache clinic with similar symptoms and complaining of intense
headaches above the eyes. Whether or not they may be migraines.
With the same complaints you're having I would definitely send such a patient for an EYE EXAMINATION first to rule out the possibility of
eye strain due to either the need for corrective lenses or the need to CHANGE the corrective lenses they have especially if this condition has only come on recently and it's been awhile since your last eye examination.
I would also ask the patient keep track of just how much fluid they are taking in since
dehydration is certainly not foreign to us as a risk for many ailments including headaches,
lightheadedness, and
fatigue.
Also, are you eating your meals on time or do you have a tendency to skip meals because of time constraints or other issues.
Remember, as we get older the body doesn't as well tolerate periods of
low blood sugar (
hypoglycemia) or dehydration. These are the simple and sometimes NOT SO OBVIOUS fixes to this problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
