Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have ulcers in my stomach and an abnormal lump also in my stomach. my large and small intestines are both inflamed and now they found white blood cells in my stool sample. what do you think is happening? I am tired all the time and have no energy.
White blood cells presence indicate an inflammation. This is nothing more than your immune system cells trying to fight some factor. Small intestine inflammation can indicate Crohns disease. Adding tiredness makes it even more possible. I suggest you to have colonoscopy done to rule this condition out. Please consult gastrologist.
White blood cells in the stool are present because of the inflammation. The point is to determine the reason of such inflammation. It can be inflammatory bowels disease like Crohns disease. Especially if you have any bloating, weight loss, blood and mucus in the stool. Lump in the stomach should be removed with gastroscopy (if thats possible) and tested. Colonoscopy should be done to rule out inflammatory bowels disease.
Hope this will help. Regards.
