Why Did I Get Flashing Lights On Closing My Eyes?
today I had an episode where I had flashing colored lights when I looked at anything or even closed my eyes. It moved from right side to left side. Long line of flashing lights, then a round circle of same thing. It made me dizzy so I laid down for awhile. Now it's gone. What was that?

Flashing of lights can be proromal symptom of migraine. If you are known to have migraine then treatment for the migraine will cure it.
If you are not a known migraine patient and if there is no headache following flashes of light, retinal problems like retinal tear or retinitis have to be ruled out.
This requires examination by a ophthalmologist to rule out retinal tear.
