Why Did Injecting Lantus And Novolog Cause A Lump On My Thigh?

i injected myself with Lantus, and Novalog early this morning, both in my upper-inner thigh (a place where i haven't givin myself a shot in about 5 years). i usually give myself my injections in my stomach. a few hours ago, i noticed a huge lump on my thigh where the injections were given. it's not hard, just really red, and it hurts, itches, and stings. what is it?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have hematoma or abscess at site of injection. Apply ice massage. Anti inflammatory plus analgesic drug can be used to releive pain and inflammation. If it remains persists then you need examination.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
