Why Do I Have Blood In My Cough In The Mornings?

Hi pls help me with this,it s been 3days when I wake up in the morning I see some blood stains in my cough and when I try to take out my cough there is pain at the lower tongue n throat.Today when I went to the doctor he gave me Some Neoclav tablets n loratadine 10mg.Am I going to be fine or has to go more tests.Thank you

Neoclav is an antibiotic and laratadine is an antihistaminic drug.
As you mentioned that 3 days back there was blood during cough and pain in the throat , also pain in tongue.
The cause of blood in your case may be .
1 Throat infection as this is most common cause of cough with blood due to local infection and allergy . So your doctor prescribed right medication.
Local antiseptic lonzges will also provide relief .
2 2nd most common cause of blood in cough may be tuberculosis . ( Due to just history of three days I will rule out this disease in your case.
In my opinion consult an E N T and get his opinion.
