Why Do I Have Headaches, Dizziness And Lack Of Balance?

Hi, my sister fell and hit her head and bruised her ribs.Shes 60 and has back problems.Now she feels a lump on top part of spine , has headaches ,dizziness , imbalance and her hearing fading away.She did an mri and found a lump . What do you think it could be?

I am very sorry for this..as you have mentioned after injuiry she now has headache dizziness and imbalance and decrease hearing . All this features are suggestive of some intracranial injury or bleed. You have not mentioned the complete report of MRI , what exactly that lump is and where is this located . Some time initial report may show everything alright but after some times problem starts appearing .so in my opinion if these symptoms are persisting or increasing then you must consult neurosurgeon for this and take his advice.its not easy from here to assess extent and location of injury . As she already has some back problems and her age is 60 she is very prone for some fractures and internal bleeding . In my opinion she needs neurosurgeon opinion as soon as possible . Hope this will help .
