Why Do I Have Swollen Knee And Pain Behind The Knee Post Lateral Meniscus Repair Surgery?

1 1/2 year surg. to repair lateral meniscus, since surgery have had swollen knee and pain behind the knee. Have been told more surgery to clean up the knee as have some issues behind the knee cap ????? may cause more issues. But not happy living with pain, especially going up and down stairs, and the swelling. I can no longer jog and this snow season skiing is very painful and not much control with that leg..............any thoughts on what to do next???

Meniscus surgery hurting after such along time may be due to fail repair. It is quite possible because healing of meniscus is very slow. I think it would be better I you get repeat Mri . In your report if meniscus is still torn, better get it clear by key hole surgery. This is safe surgery and after that you will be able to play all game. Best of luck.
