Why Do I Have Thick Mucus In My Throat?

I have this weird thing in my throat. It is like a bunch of saliva. I am not allergic to anything. I have had it for about 3 months. When I spit it is very thick. Last year I had strep 5 times and the doctor told me I was a carrier. Does this have anything to do with it?

Hello

I dont think this has anything to do with your strep carrier, rather you maybe having a sinus infection and should be examined by an ent doctor for the extent of the infection. meanwhile i would lie you to take lots of fluids and steam inhalation 3-4 times a day.
Thanks
