Why Doctor Advised To Drop Pregnancy After Sonography?

Sonography revealed that my wife is 6 weeks pregnant. Report says: Single intrauterine gestational sac with three yolk sacs and three live embryonic poles are noted. Cardiac activity is noted in all of the embryos. Doctor has advised to drop the pregnancy. Please advise.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
As the report says there is 3 yolk sacs but only single gestational sacs, its not normal pregnancy. It will not be viable and it is complicated.

Normally single yolk sac should be present inside the gestational sac.Hence your gynecologist has given correct advice. You take her advice and move on.

Hope you are happy with the answer.
Thank you
